Superb position for this rustic house with fine views over typical Minho village of Carvoeiro with its maze of cobbled streets set in valley below steep wooded hills, about 5km from Barroselas and 15km south east of Viana do Castelo and coast.
Madalena (sleeps 2) is next door and the properties are available together for 8-12 people.
Matos is built on many levels with ample land with mature trees, terraces, large shaped pool 1-1.5m depth with security fence and gate, poolside shower, barbecue, sunny and shaded seating and children's play area with swing and slide. 3 very small doubles plus bedsofa to suit 3 or 4 couples or family with several children.
Secure grounds with steel gate and car parking. Outside shower room/WC with washing machine. Spacious dining room with bedsofa, long refectory style table, local TV, dresser, antique wood burner, beamed ceiling. Up stairs to traditional kitchen with wood-fired range, gas hob and cooker, microwave, double sink and dresser. Utility area with gas water heater, fridge, chest freezer and wardrobe/storage. Spiral stairs up to landing off which three small double bedrooms (with small double beds), shower/WC and sitting room with open fire. Doors out from upper floor to various levels and terraces, staircases, garden or seating areas and path into woods through garden gate.
Nearest local shop within walking distance. Others in Barroselas and Viana. Linen (except beach/pool towels) provided. Maid service weekly and weekly linen change. Preferred arrival Thursday 1600, depart 1000. Other days by arrangement. Lovely countryside and excellent for walking and communing with nature or just relax and drink in the atmosphere.
